On March 23 & 24, runners will have the chance to explore all the hidden corners of Taygetos – including the most famous and secret corner, known as the “Wildlife Refuge.” The races begin on Saturday, March 23, at 14:00 with the Vertical Speed, followed by the Hansaplast 40km Marathon, Experience 22km, Basic 10km, and Independent Fun 5km on Sunday, March 24.
The Taygetos Challenge, known as one of the top trail running events in Greece, with the stunning landscape of Kardamyli in Mani as the starting and finishing point, will offer participants an unforgettable experience.
This year, at the 13th Taygetos Challenge, the 40km Marathon route has been enriched with a magical descent from the villages of Kalyves to the Byros Gorge, where participants will be treated to truly impressive views. The descent is followed by a one-kilometer ascent through the Byros Gorge, passing through the most beautiful spot, Stenema.
